At the Elite Group, we work with many
great people so we are very pleased to sponsor customer
Tom Glenister and friends on a 10,000 mile charity
drive from London to Mongolia.
The Mongolia Charity Rally is a pan-continental
drive across five mountain ranges, two deserts and
barren and inhospitable lands. Starting in London,
the final destination is Ulaanbaatar, the capital
of Mongolia beyond the Gobi desert.
On 5 July 2008 teams set forth from
London to the sounds of a traditional Mongolian festival
organised by the local Mongolian community, Participants
can take any route to Mongolia - they can choose to
take in the delights of Poland, Ukraine and Russia,
or head in a southerly direction towards Turkey, Iran,
Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
Whichever road they take, they will be faced with
a number of travel obstacles, before passing the finish
line in central Mongolia.
All the vehicles that make it to the
end will be donated to the Children's Development
and Protection Fund in Mongolia with the choice of
each vehicle made by each participant in the race.
This great Mongol adventure is organised
by volunteers at Go
Help, a UK Charity helping folk raise money for
some really great causes. Any funds Go Help raise
from commercial sponsorship and TV coverage will also
go to the charitable projects in Mongolia.
