This was the latest in a successful series of annual Matis shows with the '2000' event emphasising the importance of adding value to the textile based products which have become a speciality of the island since the industry was established in the early seventies.

Alan Moore, Operations Manager of UK based Elite Forwarders Ltd, a key player in the garment trade with Mauritius, was invited to give a presentation on the subject of I.T. and it's role in contemporary logistics management, to an audience of senior Mauritian businessmen.

" Matis 2000 has built on the success of previous expositions and attracted a number of high profile visitors including some very infuential overseas buyers", commented Alan, "I see this invitation to speak as an acknowledgement of the high standards of service Elite has provided to the Mauritian and Madagascan markets during the last 10 years - we will definitely be coming back next year", he added.
