Elite Forwarders Limited, the Leeds
based logistics and freight forwarding company has
purchased Portland International Cargo Limited.
Portland is a Heathrow based freight forwarding company
founded in 1991. All Portland staff will move to a
new Heathrow premises joining Elite's existing London
office staff. Combining Portland's business with Elite's
will increase Elite's presence in the South-East and
expand Portland's service offer to its customers.
The Elite Group of companies (Elite
and its subsidiaries) is a £40 million turnover
third party logistics and freight services provider
with particular expertise in supporting UK retailers.
With headquarters in Leeds and offices in London,
Hong Kong and Mauritius, Elite's 600 staff ensure
that some of Britain's largest and most successful
retailers can rely on one of the fastest supply chain
cycles in the industry.
