Premature babies born at St James’s
University Hospital in Leeds got a boost today
when the neonatal unit received a new incubator
courtesy of Tippitoes Limited.
This equipment, which costs just under £14,000,
is being donated by Tippitoes - a company
that was one of the first to introduce the
baby bouncer to the UK.
Matron for neonatal medicine at the Trust,
Yvette Bartlett, said: “We are very
grateful for this generous donation from Tippitoes."
“We get around 450 pre-term babies
born at St James’s every year and this
new incubator will help keep a number of them
warm after their early arrival and give them
the best possible start in life.”

Paul Walters, Operations
Manager at Tippitoes Ltd, who presented the incubator
to the unit, said: “When deciding on where to
make our first donation, we chose St James’s
not only because they are our local children’s
unit but because of their nationwide reputation for
childcare."
“Tippitoes is particularly
committed to supporting charities that promote children’s
causes and this is our opportunity to give something
back to our customers and future customers.”
Tippitoes Limited specialises
in baby products. The Tippitoes Baby Bouncer is the
