The Elite Group has been chosen as
a finalist for the Big Difference 2005 Awards.
The awards were set up by the Big Life Company
in 2002 following the merger of Big Issue
in the North of England and Diverse Resources
to provide opportunities, support and services
to socially-excluded groups.
To be eligible for the Big Difference Awards
the nominees must show innovation, provide
sustainable solutions to existing problems
and respond to an identified local need with
visible outcomes or with lasting benefits
for the local community on an ongoing basis.
The Elite Group has been nominated for it’s
work with the West Leeds Family Learning Centre
training and employing long term unemployed
people in Leeds.
